【June 2】 Class of 2020 has started

   On June 2, 2020,  “Business Development: Business Design” as the course A at TUT Business School started. This Lecture was held online using the Zoom web conference system to prevent the spred of COVIT-19 infection. The  instructor was Dr.Shintaro Sengoku, an associate professor at the school of Enviroment and Society,Tokyo Institute of Technology. He has been teaching for three years at our university.

    In this course, undergraduate students, master course students, and working students,  total 29 students attended together, and learned about entreprenerurship and specific steps for realizing business opportunities. In the later part of course, students were divided into some groups to discuss and present each business model.

  1st    June2  (Tue)    Introduction; Entrepreneurship and Innovation     

 2nd   June5  (Fri)     St rategies and planning tools 

 3rd    June 12 (Fri)  Strategic option – planning and evaluation                       

 4th    June 19 (Fri)  Business models overview   

 5th    June 26 (Fri)  Practice – brainstorming                                                      

 6th    July 3 (Fri)    Practice – presentations; closing                                                                                                                                                                

    In the lecture, they had lively discussions such as questions, answers, and presentations of assignment issues. In Practice, the students were divided into 5 groups and exercise was held on June 26th. And in the final lecture on July 3,each group presented 10 minutes each. After that, review coments were given by Prof. Sengoku, Mr.Toshihiro Osuka, Senior Managing  Director  of Japan  Tissue Engineering , Prof.Takao Fujiwara, TUT . Finally, they and Mr,Daiki Matsui a doctoral student reviewed and selected two teams for the highest award. Certificates will be given to the winners.

     Through this course, students had ambitious voices as ” start-up companies and large companies have become  more familiar with them, they are interested in developing businesses, and their lives have become more challenging.”
