【June 1st】 Business school successfully finished the first course-A class.
On June 1, 2018 (Fri), Course A “Business development theory: business design” class was successfully finished.
For the first time this year, with the subsidy & support of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology for EdgeNext, we opened the class “Business Development Theory: Business Design” at our university and it was successfully completed at first trial. One of its main concepts is that adult students and graduate students of the master’s course will attend together and exchange opinions with each other in exercises. Especially, with the intermediary of Professor Shintarou Sengoku of the Tokyo Institute of Technology and part-time lecturer here, one of expected purposes is the active discussion at brainstorming between both sides by matching the specific challenges (needs) in business practices and the young sensitivity and each engineering expertise (seeds) of graduate students belonging to the laboratory at five departments (specialty in mechanical engineering, electronic information engineering etc.). The course is consisted of four times class room basic lectures as management strategy theory, technology management theory, and marketing, and the fifth, group discussion, and the last sixth, presentation on the business plan by group in the total of 6 classes a quarter of semester (18: 30-20: 30).
Especially, based on the task of the business plan imposed on each person in the fourth round, four representative project proposals were chosen by Dr. Sengoku. After that, each member of 4 groups were assigned by coordinating the fundamental skeleton of business plans and remaining members’ preferences. In the sixth day’s presentation, expertise’s comments and advice was provided by Mr. Takuya Nakagawa, executive officer of Plutus Consulting in Tokyo based on the experience of corporate evaluation in addition to the questions of other groups and moderators. Mr. Nakagawa also gave a speech on the same day at the 1st Entrepreneurship Development Seminar in this year.

The aim of Course A “Business Development Theory: Business Design” is to communicate the design philosophy of business concepts. In the subsequent course of course B “Business Development Theory: Technical Skills”, is aiming at the content of the lesson which further embodies the concept.
Currently, Course B “Business Development Theory: Technical Skills” starting from June 15 (Friday), we can accept new participant submission.
